Darlington High School Symphonic Band earns Superior with Distinction for the first time in Darlington's history!
Darlington High School Symphonic Band makes history by earning all Superiors at the Concert Performance Assessment.
Darlington High School Band achieves one of the highest awards that can be given to a concert band in South Carolina. These students participated in the South Carolina Band Directors Association Concert Performance Assessment hosted at Loris High School in Loris SC. The students performed in class V. The selections performed were Declaration Overture by Claude T. Smith, Chino Hills by John O'Reilly, and Metrodance by Randall Standridge. These students had an amazing performance. The Symphonic Band is comprised of over 42 students which are the top musicians in the band program. Today we celebrate these students and their success.
